Voluntary Norfolk improves the health, wellbeing, connections, skills and employability of thousands of people in Norfolk each year, by supporting volunteers, voluntary organisations, and through the delivery of commissioned services.
The Communities Team at Voluntary Norfolk is planning a celebratory event to mark the 40th anniversary of Volunteers’ Week (3 – 9 June). This is not just another volunteers fair but an Extravaganza with lots of Norfolk organisations attending to showcase their volunteering opportunities in an interactive way, allowing the public the chance to Give it a Go!
What is the purpose of the role?
You will be part of a small team of volunteers who, together with members of Voluntary Norfolk Staff will help make the event a success!
What might the role entail?
- Assisting in the set up/take down for the event
- Welcoming attendees & recording attendance
- Signposting attendees to where they can find information
- Providing support on a stand
What do we need from you?
- Be polite and friendly, engaging with a wide range of people
- To be an approachable ambassador for Voluntary Norfolk
- To follow direction from Voluntary Norfolk staff
- To protect the security and confidentiality of personal data
Do I need any qualifications or skills?
- No, you do not need any formal qualifications.

Days/times
- Friday 31 May (2pm - 4pm) at Voluntary Norfolk Office, 2-16 Colegate, Norwich NR3 1BQ
- Friday 7 June (9.30am - 5.00pm) at The Forum, 2 Millennium Plain, Norwich, 1TF
If you are interested, but only available to help for part of the day then we'd still love to hear from you.
Voluntary Norfolk will provide reasonable travel expenses if you are travelling outside of Norwich to help.
