Bespoke befriending in Dereham

We are looking for a young adult (late 20s early 30s) who would like to support our client "G" with befriending and confidence building.

"G" is in her late 20s and she has learning and physical disabilities. She's experienced bullying in the past, and she is very lonely and isolated. She has been sheltered her whole life and would really like to start exploring and engaging with people her own age with someone who could give her a little confidence boost whilst accompanying her to try things out, or perhaps just keep her a little company to enjoy a chat in a café . She is very interested in music and poetry, and she even writes her own poetry and lyrics; she would like to learn to play an instrument to put music to her words.

"G" experiences a lot of anxiety, so we're ideally looking for someone who understands mental health to give her the empathy, time and understanding she needs to fully blossom.

We would give you training and support throughout your volunteering, and we can reimburse you for selected expenses.
