The Great Yarmouth Stitch-a-thon is all about bringing the community together to create something wonderful for local charities and non-profit organisations. Coinciding with International Crochet day and International mindfulness day on Thursday 12th of September, the Great Yarmouth Stitch-a-thon will start at 10am and end at 4pm; you can stay all day or just come for a few hours!
Take part at events in the following venues:
Pavilion Theatre and Bandstand, Gorleston
PrimeYarc, Great Yarmouth
Dial's Craft Room, Great Yarmouth
On the day you can crochet, knit or sew anything you would like (sewing machines are only available at PrimeYarc). Patterns and materials will be available for you if you choose to use them or you can bring your own. The items that are made will then be distributed to local charities and non-profit organisations with the help of Norfolk Knitters and Stitchers.
If crafting isn't something you enjoy but would love to get involved in this lovely community, we are looking for people to help on the day! We need people to greet and sign in the crafters, as well as help with refreshments.
This is a wonderful opportunity to support some amazing local charities and non-profit organisations while coming together as a community.
