Summary

Help us welcome the children and their adults into the shows and look after them during the performance

Detailed description

The Puppet Theatre is a magical place to be. I have been in many theatres and this is the most laid back and friendly one ever. I think its to do with mainly catering for children and the fact we have no actors (and their egos!!)

We like to be really welcoming when people come for their show, so we have cold and hot drinks and lots of chocolate. We smile and chat to them and to be honest its just lovely.

Then they go into the auditorium and we act as ushers, keeping an eye on them, and when the show is over we say goodbye.

And its a great way of spending three hours or so.

The shows are often during the day and we will give you training in every aspect of the task.

You will never be the only welcoming crew member there.

So contact me, lets meet up, get the paper work done and become a crew member.

(and if you have children/ grandchildren etc you can usually come and see the show for free)

Look forward to hearing from you.

Alan

About Norwich Puppet Theatre

Norwich Puppet Theatre is a registered charity. As a result we rely on the support of our community to grow and flourish. Our community and outreach work is focused on delivering arts and cultural experiences to children and young people in Norfolk who experience few engagement opportunities. We develop and promote the art form of puppetry and puppet theatre through performances, workshops and education. For many children we provide their first experience of live theatre and create wonder in them and their peers, parents, guardians and teachers.
For over 40 years Norwich Puppet Theatre’s producing company has created new shows for family audiences, performing in Norwich before touring in the UK and internationally. Our Creative Engagement Team works across the county providing hands-on experiences for schools, charity organisations, and public events. Our work provides a creative context which encourages meaningful, exciting, and inspiring learning opportunities.
