Active Norfolk is getting Norfolk moving, bringing together partners to make a difference to the people of Norfolk who would benefit the most from becoming active, as well as helping to shape a future where being active is ‘just what people do’.

Our Board of passionate and committed Non-Executive Directors play a vital role in ensuring that Active Norfolk is focused on its strategic direction and supported to deliver on its aims. Additionally, the Board has the responsibility to ensure that all legal and funding requirements are met in line with national governance, finance and operational standards.

We are seeking two people with strong Finance skills and experience to fill two of our three finance roles when the current postholders reach the end of their terms in 2024.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help Active Norfolk continue to develop its improving financial operation and governance to meet the challenges ahead, supporting, advising and challenging the Operations Team in the production of budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans. These roles will also assist with strategic direction through the main Board and as such it is a rare opportunity to contribute to the health of the communities of Norfolk through the power of physical activity.

Active Norfolk is striving to ensure our team reflects the diverse communities we aim to support, so we welcome applications from individuals of any background. We are keen to receive application from people from ethnically diverse backgrounds or those with disabilities as identified in our EDI monitoring. Candidates with experience of the VCSE sector or governance operations will also be particularly welcome.

About Active Norfolk

At Active Norfolk our mission is to Get Norfolk Moving. We aim to ensure that being active is just something that the people of Norfolk do. The focus of our work is towards those who suffer most from inequalities in society as they often face the most barriers to being active, but can benefit the most. We work closely with a wide range of partners to ensure that systems and places have access to opportunities to embed the power of physical activity in to their communities and work.
