Support Age Connected as a Trustee

We are looking for trustees in particular in having experience and skills of finance/accountancy to join the Age Connected Great Yarmouth board, helping to develop the charity for the future and making the Borough of Great Yarmouth a great place to enjoy older life.

Our Trustees play a role in championing our strategic vision and their role is to ensure the charity continues to evolve to support the changing needs of older people.

As a small independent charity, the Board is legally responsible for ensuring the charity operates within the Charity Commission rules and meets monthly, including our annual AGM and strategy planning days.

There are also many opportunities to represent Age Connected at events, galas and fundraisers and although the role of a trustee does not attract any financial remuneration, expenses for travel may be claimed. The charity will cover any reasonable expenses incurred while undertaking Trustee Duties.

We very much welcome expressions of interest from people with experience of, governance, health care and finance, fundraising and campaigns, digital marketing, IT and business development

We are also keen to broaden the diversity of our Board.
