Summary

Can you support someone in your local Community with tasks to help them achieve their independence?

Detailed description

We are looking for volunteers to support our service users with anything from household tasks such as assisting with meal preparation, shopping, dog walking to accompanying them to community events and groups to help them build up their social network. We have something for everyone to get involved and support with.

By encouraging, enabling and empowering them, you will supporting to reduce isolation and increase their independence.

Our Volunteer team is drawn from a range of backgrounds, with an equally wide range of life experiences: from retired professionals, students wanting to gain experience and those looking to give back and be part of something meaningful to those whose children have grown up and flown the nest, creating time and space for something different. We welcome all applications, even if you feel you have no relevant experience. If you are the right person with the right mind set, we provide full training and support.

Can you spare a few hours a week, at your convenience, to help someone achieve this?

All mileage expenses are paid at 45p a mile.

A number of our volunteers have found volunteering to be a stepping-stone into a paid role, we regularly recruit directly from our volunteer base as we deliver a range of services. For others it has been a great opportunity to get out and about, meet new people and be part of our amazing team, whilst really making a difference.

We would love to hear from you!
