Volunteer to offer guidance, a listening ear or mentor on a 1:1 basis in your local community - supporting a young person over 12 weeks.

We are looking for volunteers to support 8 -18 year olds who may be vulnerable to exploitation, harmful peer influences, emotional distress or involvement in violence.

The service aims to provide a safe environment to help young people navigate their emotions, manage their feelings and start to build productive relationships.

You will be fully trained to support a young person in your area for 2 - 3 hours a week, over 12 weeks, to:

    • To set goals that will help to improve the young person’s skills and prospects.
    • To arrange activities that are designed to put the young person at ease.
    • To communicate with the parent/care giver to arrange appointments and debrief after.
    • Complete a volunteer contact log sheet following a one-on-one support visit.

All mileage and expenses will be paid.

We would love to hear from you!
