Summary

Help the Brecks Fen Edge and Rivers landscape partnership (BFER) at a range of exciting events and activities across the Brecks.

Detailed description

Events and Activities Helpers assist with one-off BFER events and activity opportunities throughout the year. Participants of these events hugely benefit from and value their interactions with volunteers. Volunteers serve as a ‘friendly face’ representing BFER: engaging visitors and participants, and generally being warm and helpful. As an Events and Activities Helper, you might be welcoming and signing in participants, handing out event or activity resources, helping visitors with activities, taking photographs, tail walking a guided walk, or encouraging visitors to fill in questionnaires.

The Brecks Fen Edge and Rivers landscape partnership scheme (BFER) is a project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. BFER works to celebrate the wildlife and heritage of the Brecks, a unique landscape in west Norfolk and north west Suffolk. BFER events range from guided walks to family craft, community runs to outdoor swims, information stalls, talks, tours, and much more. Typical event locations include: Thetford, Brandon, Mildenhall, Knettishall, West Stow, Lakenheath and more.
