We are looking for volunteers to help us set up and run both new and existing groups to support people struggling with Loneliness and Social Isolation.
We are running or in the process of setting up a variety of groups:
One pot cook classes
Fishing group
Walking group
Ornithology group
Games group
Mental health support group
Reading group
Coffee and chat groups
Arts and craft groups
These groups will be run at a variety of locations and are all set up to support and encourage people struggling with Social Isolation and Loneliness (SIL)to get out and about.
Many of our clients struggle with SIL due to Neurodiversity.
If you enjoy any of the above activities (or any others please let us know) and would be happy giving some time to encourage and support others to enjoy them as well please get in touch.
We are ideally leading many of our groups towards being peer led, volunteers are needed to provide a supportive and welcoming environment
If you are over 18 years of age, patient, welcoming and have free time we would love to hear from you.
Training is provided for all our volunteers and we work with the ethos that volunteering should be fun.
