We want as friendly as possible a welcome for young families and groups of interested parties and old alike at the observatory. We host talks on every 2nd friday of each month and have a nice friendly vibe to things. Over time some of the volunteers have become old or moved away and we need some people with an interest in engineering, photography science, or just a new pursuit and to be friendly to public on open nights. Members also meet up Tuesdays so this is a great way to meet us. You would be really helping just coming along and being wiling to learn about the society and see if you want to help. No real expertise is needed, but an interest in learning about the night sky is enough to help us enthuse people. We have some fantastic telescopes etc you can play with to practise. Bring whatever knowledge you have and we look forward to meeting you. It is rewarding to help the community enjoy space.
