We are currently recruiting compassionate, reliable volunteers for unaccompanied asylum-seeking teenagers (UASC) in our area.

VOLUNTEER WITH UNACCOMPANIED ASYLUM SEEKING TEENAGERS

We are looking for 3 new volunteers to support the following referrals in Norwich:

16 year old girl from Somalia

17 year old boy from Vietnam

16 year old boy from Turkey


These YP have arrived in the UK alone, without family support. As an Independent Visitor, you will provide consistent friendship, guidance and a positive adult presence in their lives.


What does the role involve?

  • Meeting regularly (typically once a month) with a YP.
  • Building a trusting, supportive relationship
  • Taking part in simple activities such as walks, sports, or cultural outings
  • Being a reliable and positive role model


If you are 18+, friendly, patient and non-judgemental with a creative approach to communication, we'd love to hear from you.

Thorough training and support provided, as well as reimbursement of reasonable expenses.
