We seek a volunteer Treasurer, to oversee the museum's finances, preparing budgets and financial reports, managing and tracking financial transactions.

CNAM is seeking a volunteer Treasurer for a part-time, hybrid position located in the Norwich area (Norfolk, UK). The Treasurer will be responsible for overseeing the museum's finances, preparing budgets and financial reports, managing and tracking financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Other key responsibilities include managing the allocation of funds, coordinating payroll for paid staff, assisting in financial planning for events and future projects, and presenting regular financial updates to the board. The Treasurer will play a vital role in shaping the financial health and sustainability of the museum.


Ideal Background

  • Accounting, financial management, and budgeting expertise
  • Proficiency in tracking financial transactions and maintaining records
  • Experience with handling payroll processes and regulatory compliance for nonprofits or charities
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as spreadsheet applications
  • Good communication skills to present financial updates to stakeholders and collaborate with a diverse team
  • Understanding of finance regulations and best practices for charities is a plus
  • Prior experience in financial management for a nonprofit or charity organization is desirable
