Accompanying someone for weekly outdoor walks to help them re-build their strength following a stroke.

We are looking for a volunteer who would be able to support a man in the NR32 area who would like someone to accompany him for some short walks to build up his strength and his confidence following a stroke that has left him with vertigo.

He has been referred for a recommended 4 weeks of support initially and at least 1 walk per week. This might be as little as 10 minutes to begin with whilst he builds up his strength. Walks could take place on weekends or during the week, depending on volunteer availability

For this volunteering activity you would need to complete an ECCH volunteer induction and have an up to date DBS check.
