Help someone recovering from a stroke by joining them on short walks, visiting them at home for a chat or helping them get out and about
We are looking for volunteers in the Lowestoft area who would be able to offer 1-2 hours a week to help someone recovering from a stroke.
This could include
- joining them on short walks
- visiting them at home for a chat
- helping them get out and about to activities or to the shops (either walking or driving)
You'll be supporting the work of local NHS teams like physiotherapists and occupational therapists by helping someone to regain their confidence and increase their independence at home.
For this volunteering activity you will need to complete a morning's training (held in Lowestoft) and have an enhanced with barred list DBS check.
