Detailed description

What is a Heritage and Archaeology Ranger?

At Felbrigg there are over 150 recorded archaeological features, ranging from a Bronze Age round barrow, Late-Saxon -Medieval Iron working site, and various types of banks. Heritage & Archaeology Rangers will locate, assess and monitor the condition of these features. Volunteers will work with the HART Coordinator to enter their monitoring data directly into our archaeology database which informs regional archaeologists if any action is required to better manage and protect the archaeology.

HART volunteers may also support activities beyond condition monitoring such as repairs of archaeological features, research or programming and engagement.
