Summary

FINNBARS FORCE Charity seeking applications for a Treasurer

Detailed description

Finnbars Force was set up after the loss of Finnbar to an aggressive brain tumour, with the vision to reduce children suffering in the hands of a brain tumour and where all children with cancer in our area will receive all the support they need and when they need it.

Finnbars Force is a small but enterprising Norfolk based charity and we are seeking to expand the team by inviting new applicants to become a voluntary treasurer to help us take the charity on to the next stage of its development.

The treasurer usually takes the lead at board level on:

Making sure the charity keeps proper accounts

 Reviewing the charity’s financial performance

Drawing up or reviewing policies for finance and investment

Ensuring that the charity has robust and effective financial controls in place

Develop reserves policy and safeguard the organisation’s finances

Liaising with finance staff and with the charity’s independent examiner or auditor

Reporting on financial matters to the members in a membership charity
