Summary

FINNBARS FORCE charity is seeking applicants to become Trustees

Detailed description

FINNBARS FORCE charity is seeking applicants to become Trustees

Finnbars Force was set up after the loss of Finnbar to an aggressive brain tumour, with the vision to reduce children suffering in the hands of a brain tumour and where all children with cancer in our area will receive all the support they need and when they need it.

Finnbars Force is a small but enterprising Norfolk based charity and we are seeking to expand the trustee board by inviting new applicants to become a voluntary trustee to help us take the charity on to the next stage of its development.

Becoming a Trustee for Finnbars Force can be an exciting and fulfilling role. The role of the trustee board is to ensure that the charity fulfils its duty to its beneficiaries and delivers on its vision, mission and values. It is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, its financial health, the probity of its activities and developing the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines

Trustees do not have day to day responsibilities of the management of the charity which the board delegates to the CEO. But it retains the oversight role which can include recommendations or proposals which can form part of the general discussion of the board led by the Chair

The board will particularly welcome new trustees to join the board that have a specific area of knowledge and/or expertise which will complement other board members. For example, social or primary care, charity sector, legal, administration etc or previous trustee experience. The board would welcome any person who is interested in joining us to join us to meet the existing board members and ask any questions or raise any concerns prior to making any further commitment.

Please do contact Charlotte should this be of interest in the first instance.
