Future Projects are looking for volunteers to assist with promoting the NR5 Charity Shop on social media

We're looking to add a Social Media Assistant to our team of volunteers at our NR5 Charity Shop, located within The Baseline Centre (Knowland Grove, NR5 8YD).


You'll have a good understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram, TikTok and Facebook and be able to use your initiative to develop new ideas to promote the charity shop and reach new customers.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and scheduling posts for Instagram, Facebook & TikTok
  • Showcasing the stock available in the charity shop through photos and videos
  • Keeping content aligned with the shop’s voice: friendly, local, community-first
  • Promoting charity shop activities such as special events and sales


We ask that you:

  • Are reliable, organised, and able to post consistently
  • Work well with others and will checks details with staff when needed
  • Will follow shop policies on pricing, reservations, handling messages, privacy/safeguarding, and representing the charity positively
  • Adhere to the social media guidelines set out by Future Projects
