Summary
We are looking for volunteers to support people on probation and community service orders to aid rehabilitation, assisting rehabilitation and preventing crime.Detailed description
Our Volunteers act as positive role models who inspire, empower and guide participants to achieve their full potential. They offer personalised, one-to-one support to help improve participants’ lives, equipping those they are supporting with the skills they need to succeed and to prevent individuals from becoming trapped in a cycle of criminality. They help minimise a person’s risk of committing crime or reoffending by supporting them to access to vital services.
In the East of England our main focus is on Education, Training and Employment (ETE) and Accommodation and Housing. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to build a better future, regardless of their past choices or the challenges they currently face.
As a volunteer with Interventions Alliance you can:
- Gain experience working in the criminal justice sector
- Benefit from a range of training opportunities
- Be part of a team, supporting each other to support our participants
- Learn new skills working within an evidence-based approach
- Play an active role in addressing crime in our communities
- Give people an opportunity to put their lives on track
