Volunteers required to reorganise returned pouches, liaise with co-worker to register returns and organise into alpha order ready for copying process.

In order to provide a local news service to blind and partially sighted people, Lowestoft Talking Newspaper require Pouch Sorters and Registration Volunteers.


Pouch Sorting This task involves Removal of thumb drives from pouches. remove protective caps, reverse address labels ready for outgoing post, sort pouches into alpha-numeric order and place in trays.


Registration This involves checking the pouches in the boxes against the register of listeners to make sure that every listener who qualifier has a pouch ready for dispatch, and marking register accordingly. Once this is done pouches are sorted as to Post Code and left ready for the copying team.


Two people work as a team to complete these tasks and may also like to try Copying or Reading for the Charity.
