We need someone to be a friendly face of the village hall, show round prospective new bookings & confirm bookings using basic software.
Ideally you would be comfortable getting to and from the Margaret Harker Hall & Blofield Memorial Grounds, which are located in the centre of Blofield Village.
Bookings can be reviewed and confirmed from home using Hallmaster software which guides you through the process.
Those making bookings will provide a deposit through the site - and you may need to liaise on the telephone for those less comfortable with using computers / software.
There is a range of bookings received from parties, to one off events, to enquiries about booking a regular slot. You will learn all about what the hall can offer so you are able to describe it and the its many benefits (the sprung wooden dance floor, shaded Verandah, French doors, stage, kitchen, cosy community room, go-pak tables & padded chairs etc).
You will use communication skills, discretion occasionally, and you will be making a really positive impact in Blofield for the community.
You will have the opportunity to get involved with organising, and/or taking part in fundraising events at the hall and grounds such as the village fayre, cinema, theatre, quizzes etc.
