The Museum has a small shop on site along with a basic food offer (hot and cold drinks, sweets/snacks). There is also an online retail site managed by a third party. All of these make a significant contribution to the income of The Museum, which is a registered charity, run mostly by volunteers. The role will oversee the smooth running of the retail/cafe operation at The Museum. This will include sourcing/ordering products, updating the EPOS system, displaying products, stock management and pricing (see list below for a more detailed breakdown). The person we are looking for will have had some retail experience already, perhaps running their own business. We expect the hours to be a maximum of 1 day per week, worked over days to suit candidate. It would suit someone who is retired, or not working full time, and who wants to use their experience in the charity sector.
