Summary
Would you like to get involved with this year's Norwich Summer Sessions 2025, Norwich's free festival of music and street theatre, as an Event Volunteer?Detailed description
Recruitment is now OPEN for enthusiastic and friendly Event Volunteers to help with the smooth running of Norwich Summer Sessions 25, Norwich's free summer festival of music and street theatre, now in its 12th season. Commissioned by Norwich BID, and programmed and delivered by Norfolk Community Arts (NORCA), Norwich Summer Sessions takes place across the city centre on Thursday evenings in July (17, 24 & 31) and on Sunday afternoons in August (10, 17, 24 & 31).
As a volunteer you will be an integral part of our team, helping us with setting up/taking down and stewarding the three or four NSS stages around Norwich City Centre, supporting and engaging with audiences and evaluation.
Performances will run from 4.15-8 pm on Thursdays and 12.30-4.30 pm on Sundays with set up starting from 1.30 pm on Thursdays and 10.30 am on Sundays. Shift start and end times are determined according to volunteers’ interests and availability. Ideally, we ask that volunteers are available for a minimum of two dates for this event.
In return we can provide volunteers with the opportunity to meet new people, gain work and life experience, make new friends, enjoy fantastic performances and be part of one of the headline free events in Norwich’s summer events calendar.
“Wearing a Norwich Summer Sessions T- shirt makes you feel part of the city”... “it’s so good seeing the city enjoy themselves ..everyone stops and taps their feet ..and even the elderly have a little dance on occasions!”. Janey, Volunteer 2022-25
