The Norfolk & Suffolk Animal Trust (NASAT) has been rescuing, caring for, and rehoming dogs for over 40 years and is now looking for new trustees
The Norfolk & Suffolk Animal Trust (NASAT) has been rescuing, caring for, and rehoming dogs for over 40 years. Formed in 1979 and based in Great Yarmouth, NASAT is a small charity run primarily by volunteers, with a paid kennel manager and staff in our Gorleston-based charity shop.
After a period of significant change, the current Trustees are now looking to strengthen the board to ensure the charity is resilient and ready for long-term sustainability and development in delivering its charitable objectives.
We are seeking new trustees, with particular interest in people who can bring demonstrable expertise and experience in the following areas:
- Volunteer management
- Fundraising and income development
- Financial management
- Communications and marketing
- Health & Safety
- Legal & Governance
You don’t need to be a dog expert or even a dog owner - you just need to care about animal welfare and have a desire to help our charity grow.
Trustee meetings are currently held monthly, physically or online, and reasonable travel expenses will be paid. New trustees will be asked to undertake relevant training through the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).
If you are interested in joining us, please complete our short form to tell us more about yourself and what you can contribute.
