Community Safety Volunteer

Our Community Safety Volunteers visit Norfolk residents in their homes to provide tailored fire safety advice such as; planning an escape route, reducing fire risks, and installing new smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

Some of our volunteers also support at events: such as the Royal Norfolk Show, Cromer Carnival and Great Yarmouth Wheels to promote fire safety with the public.

This is the perfect role for someone who is sociable and person-centred. We’re looking for volunteers who are empathetic and passionate about improving the lives of individuals who may be struggling. If you are a confident and warm communicator with a knack for delivering clear advice and recommendations we can teach you the rest! Some IT skills are helpful as you will be required to document your visits.

Due to the nature of the role, we do require our volunteers to be over 18, have access to a car and able to drive. References and an enhanced DBS check are also required.
