We're looking for volunteers to help maintain the garden outside Tuckswood Library for the benefit of the community and those who use the library.
If you have a passion for plants, could you give back to your local community? We are looking for volunteers with a love of gardening who could help us maintain the garden situated outside Tuckswood Library. The role is flexible and can be carried out as and when the volunteers are available. We are looking to take on a small group of volunteers to work together so this will also be a sociable role.
The times are flexible and gardening sessions will be agreed with the group.
Volunteers will help with maintaining the garden and may be involved with any or all of the following:
- Sweeping
- Clearing foliage
- Planting new season bulbs and plants
- Watering the garden during hot periods
- Taking part in consultations around the use of the garden space and choice of planting
- Looking after young plants and vegetables where edible produce is being grown
- Occasional litter picking
