We are looking for Digital Champions to help with basic IT queries. You don't need to be an expert in IT to apply - just a basic knowledge and a willing spirit

We are looking for a new Digital Champion to help at Earlham Library with Basic IT queries. Sessions will ideally take place on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday but the time can be discussed with the library manager.

Norfolk Library and Information Service has a core aim of supporting IT literacy. In order to support the work that we do in this area, we set up a volunteer role to help customers gain access to targeted support with basic IT queries.

Volunteers will help with basic IT queries. The types of queries will draw on the supporting materials provided on the Learn My Way website:

  • Getting online
  • Support with using e-mail
  • Safe online shopping
  • Looking for work online
  • Using online technology to connect with friends and family
  • Exploring social media

Volunteers are not expected to be an expert in all of these areas but the materials available on the Learn My Way website can be used to guide a customer through the subject and increase their knowledge and confidence in a selected area.
