We are looking for a new volunteer to help delivery books to customers in the Dereham area. Volunteers are registered with the Royal Voluntary Service.

Norfolk Library and Information Service work with the Royal Voluntary Service to deliver a home library service for customers who are unable to visit our libraries in person.

We are currently looking for a volunteer who could visit the library, collect books and deliver them to a small number of customers in the Dereham area.

Books are currently selected by library staff or a volunteer ready for the volunteer to collect from the library and deliver to the customer. Customers of the service are grouped into routes to make the most efficient use of the volunteer's time. Volunteers will normally make a delivery and collect items from customers every three weeks.

This role really is a chance to give back to the local community, helping to support those who may be more isolated by bringing a library service to their door.
