Summary

Norwich Door to Door is looking to recruit new Trustees to its board. If you the enthusiasm, experience and passion to help, we would like to hear from you.

Detailed description

Established in 1992, Norwich Door to Door is a charitable organisation supporting frail-elderly and disabled people on low incomes living in Norwich. The specialist assisted transport service is for individuals and groups marginalised by age, disability, and income, and who are unable to easily use public transport. Its mission is to overcome barriers to social inclusion, reduce loneliness and isolation, and improve the health and wellbeing of its service users.

Our Trustees contribute to the strategic planning and direction of Norwich Door to Door supporting the professional management team. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate experience in governance, good communication and an ability to conform to our Trustee Code.

The Board recognises that diversity of Trustees is vital if we are to operate with excellence, and we warmly welcome applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds.

Trustees are expected to attend 6 board meetings per year, become actively involved in at least one of our sub-committees, and to familiarise themselves with all aspects of the charity’s work.

We are particularly seeking Trustees who will bring relevant skills and experience in areas of Financial management, Communication, and Property and Estates.

Beyond technical and strategic abilities, we are looking for individuals who are committed to our mission and values, with strong interpersonal skills to constructively work with the Board and the Management Team in the best interests of the people we support.
