Our Treasurer has been a stalwart of the Plantation Garden for many years and is looking to hand over his role later this year.
The Treasurer handles the finances including:
- receiving the income from members’ subs, payments by visitors, and income from events
- paying all costs by direct bank transfer, and managing the bank accounts
- managing the PGPT accounts and accounting system (Quickbooks)
- reporting to the fellow trustees each month, and submitting the annual results to our independent scrutineer
The skills needed are straightforward bookkeeping and operation of the accounts.
The team is very friendly and most of us live in Norwich and visit the Garden for pleasure and to help in the management.
