Summary

As a Conference Support Volunteer, you’ll help support our Conference Team with functions and meetings welcoming visitors and giving them information and help.

Detailed description

As a Conference Support Volunteer, you’ll help support our Conference Team with functions and meetings.


The role is to welcome room hirers/visitors, direct them to the correct conference or meeting room and explain the facilities.


This is a flexible role dependant upon monthly conference and meeting room bookings. To be agreed to in advance with the volunteer.


Typically Monday to Friday. AM or PM shifts.


We ask you to commit to this role for a period of at least 6 months.


Whether you are looking to make new friends, develop skills, build confidence or make use of your spare time in helping others the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity Team will make you feel welcome and part of their team.


By supporting our Conference Team you will be helping to raise funds for the Charity, enabling us to enrich care for those in palliative care and their loved ones. So please get in touch we would relish any help you are able to give.

About Priscilla Bacon Hospice

Priscilla Bacon Lodge has provided Specialist Palliative Care to people around Norfolk for 40 years. The new Priscilla Bacon Lodge opened in September 2023 and is home to a state-of-the-art palliative care unit. It has been built on an 8-acre site adjacent to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Century Place Colney Norwich NR4 7YA. As well as inpatient beds, a day unit and a wellbeing centre, the Lodge will act as hub for community-based services, enabling people to receive care in their own homes. The 8-acre site has given the unique opportunity of delivering the landscape, garden, formal gardens and a wildflower meadow
