Working alongside patients in Priscilla Bacon Lodge. Ward Volunteers enhance the already outstanding care that our inpatients and their visitors receive. Volunteers spend quality time with them, offering companionship and a listening ear. They also help staff with tasks such as making beds, serving patients meals, and offering drinks.
About Priscilla Bacon Lodge NCHC NHS Trust
Priscilla Bacon Lodge has provided Specialist Palliative Care to people around Norfolk for over 40 years. The new Priscilla Bacon Lodge is home to a state-of-the-art palliative care unit. It has been built on an 8-acre site adjacent to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Century Place Colney Norwich NR4 7YA. As well as inpatient beds, a day unit and a wellbeing centre, the Lodge is a hub for community-based services, enabling people to receive care in their own homes. The 8-acre site has given the unique opportunity of delivering the landscape, garden, formal gardens and a wildflower meadow.
