Ward Volunteers enhance the already outstanding care that our inpatients and their visitors receive at Priscilla Bacon Lodge.
The Inpatient Unit Volunteer is an important role, enhancing the overall experience for patients, families, and visitors. This role is designed to complement the work of clinical staff by offering compassionate companionship, non-clinical practical assistance, and a welcoming presence within the unit.
We have vacancies Wednesday AM, 9-1 Sunday AM 9-1 and PM 1-4 and most evenings 4:30-7:30

Priscilla Bacon Lodge has provided Specialist Palliative Care to people around Norfolk for over 40 years. The new Priscilla Bacon Lodge is home to a state-of-the-art palliative care unit. It has been built on an 8-acre site adjacent to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Century Place Colney Norwich NR4 7YA. As well as inpatient beds, a day unit and a wellbeing centre, the Lodge is a hub for community-based services, enabling people to receive care in their own homes. The 8-acre site has given the unique opportunity of delivering the landscape, garden, formal gardens and a wildflower meadow.
