We need volunteers to join our team of marshals for the Euston Estate Marathon/Half Mara. No previous experience required, but must be friendly/enthusiastic.
Marathon runners need support all around the course, and it’s our marshals who provide this. You’ll be stationed with at least one other marshal at a set point around the course, and we’ll provide you with everything you’ll need; hi vis, a map, signage, plus a packed lunch. Our marshals are there to offer encouragement and support to the runners, and some checkpoints hold food and drinks to help keep them energised and hydrated.
There’ll be first aiders dotted around the course, and some marshals will have two-way radios. All marshals are provided with emergency contact telephone numbers, just in case. The most important thing is that the event is enjoyable for everyone! The route meanders in and around the scenic Euston Estate, so you may spot deer, water fowl or even a peacock or two, as well as marathon runners.
