Summary
We’re looking for people to help marshal our Thetford River Run. This event is based in and around Thetford and its rivers. Anyone can do it, and it’s fun!Detailed description
You’ll be based at one of our checkpoints to help encourage the runners. All marshals will be given emergency contact information in case a runner requires help, and water in case it’s required. You can volunteer with a friend/family member, or we’ll team you up with another volunteer; no one will be left on their own. The most important part of this role is to offer encouragement and support to the runners.
We’re looking for volunteers who can help between 11:00 and 13:30 (or from 9:30 if you’d like to help set up gazebos, tables and games e.g. a ball pond, swing ball, badminton)
We'll email specific information about your role a week before the event. If you have up to date first aid training we can provide you with a basic first aid kit, so please let us know (this is not essential for the role as we have first aiders on our team, but the more we have the better for our runners).
