We are looking for Digital Marketing Volunteers to help us enhance our online presence and reach the people who need us most.

By helping us keep content up to date, accurate, and engaging, you will play a vital part in strengthening our communication and increasing traffic to our platforms. Our clients, volunteers, and supporters come from many different backgrounds, and we want to ensure they receive clear, consistent, and accessible information wherever they find us online.

In this role, you will work with a team of volunteers to maintain branch microsites and social media feeds, support the development of local communication plans, and help build and grow online channels. You’ll use our brand guidelines and tone of voice to ensure consistency and explore ways to improve our digital visibility.

Working closely with the Regional MarComms Manager and local SSAFA branches, you’ll help coordinate both online and offline activities, using digital insights and analytics to guide improvements.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who is friendly, approachable and understands how social media can influence and engage audiences. You should be confident in adding or editing content online and able to write clearly in English.

A respectful, non‑judgemental approach is essential when working with clients, volunteers, supporters, staff, and partner organisations. A basic understanding of website maintenance and digital analytics is helpful, but full training will be provided.

Volunteering in this role allows you to use your skills and experience to support others, be part of a welcoming SSAFA team, and develop valuable digital and communication skills that can strengthen your CV. You will also have access to a range of training and learning opportunities.
