Trustee

Scrapbox is a registered charity based in Reepham, Norfolk. Our core purpose is to save landfill by receiving donated items from businesses and individuals which can be reused and repurposed for craft and home use. We also run craft workshops and collaborate with other Scrap stores around the UK.  

Scrapbox was re-energised in 2024 with a complete change of staff and a refurbishment of our premises. It is now a thriving Charity which employs 1 full-time member of staff and 3 part-time members of staff. Additionally, we have over 20 volunteers working in our store or from home. We have over 500 members, a well maintained website, and a social media presence via Facebook and Instagram with almost 9,000 followers and over 500,000 post views per month.

We are now in a position where we have surplus funds which enable us to reinvest into community outreach projects. To enable us to use these funds wisely and to continue to grow and increase our outreach and partnerships still further, we need to expand our board of Trustees by adding 3 further Trustees – taking our total number of Trustees to 6. 

Trustees are not renumerated and should be able to devote 4-5 hours per month to the role as well as attending two Trustee Meetings per year. We are looking for Trustees with at least one of the following skills:

·       bookkeeping and payroll

·       links with environmental groups

·       working with schools and other educational groups

·       grant writing

·       work placement and mentoring

·       advertising and marketing
