Summary
Committee SecretaryDetailed description
Committee Secretary – 1/2 hours per week. WFH or Hybrid as required.
This is a great opportunity for someone with administration experience who is looking to support the journey of a historic building in its transition to a Charity providing a local community and education hub.
Having already given so much to the local community this building continues to do so as a hub for older residents combating loneliness to meet and chat over a coffee. The building is also used to educate school children and local youth groups.
Remotely we work in America to find and support families of those who served at the airfield to ensure they remain in touch and can find out more about their forefathers and their achievements at Seething.
In Summary the tower museum caters to a diverse range of visitors and supporters locally and internationally ensuring the history and sacrifice is always remembered while we also look to the future supporting the diverse community around us and overseas.
A bit about the opportunity:
The role can be completed working from home as it is totally digitised via online meetings and secure document storage/sharing
(However you are more than welcome come and get involved at the museum itself if you can get there)
The role can be as a voting member of the committee or an honorary position to keep the time requirements down depending on how involved with the museum you would like to get.
Not to mention your opportunity to make some good friends along the way!
The key aspects of the opportunity:
Ensuring meetings are effectively organised and minuted
Liaising with the Chair to plan meetings
Receiving agenda items from committee members
Circulating agendas and reports
Taking minutes
Circulating approved minutes
Checking that agreed actions are carried out
Internal communications
