Detailed description

Volunteer Events Assistant – Help Make a Difference at St Elizabeth Hospice Events!

Are you outgoing, enthusiastic, and eager to support a great cause? St Elizabeth Hospice is looking for Volunteer Events Assistants to help bring our events and those run by our amazing community fundraisers, to life!

Whether it’s one of our hospice organised events or a third-party fundraiser hosted by a local supporter, you’ll play a vital role in making it a success. Tasks may include setting up and packing down, greeting and directing guests, manning stalls, helping with activities, and cheering on participants.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain events experience, meet like-minded people, and support the vital work of the hospice in your community.

No experience necessary — just a friendly attitude and willingness to get stuck in!

Flexible opportunities are available throughout the year. Come and be part of something meaningful — help us make every event matter.

St Elizabeth Hospice has a volunteer mileage/expenses policy which allows volunteers to claim expenses and mileage incurred whilst carrying out their role for the hospice.

At events we use photography and video to help promote the event and also to create memories for those who take part. This comes from a wide range of sources (including other participants and spectators) on a voluntary basis and is sometimes not arranged by St Elizabeth Hospice. Publicity consent is not sought at events; however, if approached by a photographer or videographer we would ask that you participate in good spirits, if you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, please politely decline when approached or bring the matter to the attention of a member of our staff. We do, however, reserve the right to use footage or images supplied to us where you might be included.

Please note: to volunteer at this event you must be 18 or over, or be volunteering with someone who is 18 or over.

For help with your application please register your interest in the opportunity and send the Volunteer Team a message.
