Our Saturday Swimming volunteers support a small group of adults with disabilities to access public swimming sessions at Riverside in Norwich. We are re-launching these Saturday lunchtime sessions from October 2025 during the winter months initially.
Your role will be to support adults with disabilities to pay their entry fee, find their lockers etc. It is optional as to whether you swim, or not, but with a support team at least one volunteer will be required to be in the reception area to meet people on arrival, and when they have finished swimming ahead of leaving the venue.
There is no personal care involved in this role, only social support.
This will be great for someone who likes engaging and encouraging people, great talkers and listeners, as well as those with a swimming interest (not essential).
