Video Content Editor/Creator

At the BUILD Charity we recognise that video content has become an essential part of our marketing and promotional material on digital and social media platforms. A picture may speak a thousand words, but a moving picture tells a bigger story and we need to get better at doing that.

We don't have the specific expert skills within the organisation to create, curate or edit appropriate content for our website, Facebook and shortly to be launched Instagram platforms. This role is designed to address that.

Our Digital Content Volunteer role is flexible in that we are looking for someone with suitable experience of taking video content from others, and editing it, or creating it themesleves, that can be used on our platforms and made into a few short films that tell people what we do, and how to support us.

Candidates will need to be able to visit some of our activities in the greater Norwich area (mostly accessible by public transport) to collect content, and then using this, and content generated by others, produce it in suitable formats for mainly web based or social media platforms - and eventually a short promotional film.

Support and direction will be provided, as will travelling expenses in return for a committment that can be flexible by mutual agreement. We welcome enquiries from people with appropriate skills and experience for an informal discussion about how volunteering with us can support someone new to digital marketing to expand their portfolio, or someone established to donate their time and skills to a very worthwhile cause.
