Summary

The Belfry Church of England Primary School in Overstrand is looking for three foundation (Church of England) governors for our primary school.

Detailed description

The Belfry Church of England Primary School in Overstrand is looking for two new foundation (Church of England) governors from within the Poppy Benefice which is the parishes of Overstrand, Northrepps, Trimingham, Thorpe Market, Sidestrand, Antingham and Southrepps. We are also looking for another governor who can come from a wider area - so distance is not necessarily a barrier.

Governor role information: The two Poppy Benefice governor roles are nominated via the Parochial Church Council, we will support fully with this. You must support the Church of England foundation of our school.

Our other role is nominated by the Diocesan Board of Education, again we will support fully with this, again you must support the Church of England foundation of our school.

An enhanced DBS is required for safeguarding for all governors, this will be carried out by the school.

Our board meets six times a year remotely, with time in school for monitoring and visiting to enjoy school activities, we are a friendly and hard-working board who all support our school and the local community which we serve.

We are actively inclusive, all governors must be over 18, there is no upper age limit.

We do meet remotely so IT knowledge and either a laptop or computer would be preferable to join our Zoom meetings.

To find out more do get in touch for an informal chat about what the role involves.

Key skills we are looking for are: Cyber Security and Data Protection; Estate Management, Strategic Leadership and Wellbeing & Workload. Additionally Change Management is important for us at this time.

Thank you for your interest,
