The Shoebox Community is seeking a number of Group Facilitators to strengthen and develop our community social groups in Norwich.
The group facilitator is a key person at each of our social groups, leading the session and providing a warm welcome to our members. Facilitators play a key role in helping visitors feel safe, supported and informed, while assisting the team in keeping the space welcoming and well-organised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make new members feel welcomed and included and introduced to the rest of the group
- Take a lead in the sessions, ensuring everybody has a chance to to talk about their week
- Set up sessions, as required, setting out tables, setting out activities, making sure refreshments are stocked etc.
- Undertake Peer Support training
Fridays, 3-4pm
…Different Day is for people aged 18+ who are experiencing depression, bipolar or both and provides a supportive, safe space to share views and experiences to help each other in a relaxed, respectful atmosphere
