Sign Language team member needed for busy playgroup run on a voluntary basis at Lingwood Village Hall

We are a long established, busy, thriving playgroup renound for our friendly atmosphere running weekly sessions (term time) on an entirely voluntary basis. In 2024, we were awarded the Norfolk Parent & Toddler Group Quality Mark.

We are seeking a Sign Language (ideally BSL though other formats considered) trainee or specialist to attend either weekly or monthly. You will work alongside other volunteers, one of whom has basic sign language skills and builds this into group singing time. We are looking to enhance our offering and improve our inclusivity.

There is also the option to get involved with other tasks if desired and to

network with guest professionals working in the family and children sector.

Working hours Tuesday mornings (school term time) 10am to 11.30am approx (flexible). We are within easy walking distance of Lingwood Train Station (direct trains from Norwich) and opposite bus stop served by buses from Rail Station/City Centre/Cringleford/Newmarket Road. Free car parking at venue. Full induction and supervision will be given. Uniform provided. Minimum age 16 years. A written reference (for a future employment) or feedback report (for educational purposes) can be provided upon completion. Do get in touch if you have any questions.
