Do you have a young (grand)child and want to get involved with the running of a playgroup whilst your little one also plays and interacts with other children?

We are a long established, thriving community stay and play renound for our friendly atmosphere running weekly sessions in the bright and spacious Lingwood Village Hall. We are seeking another grand/parent for our organising team. This voluntary role is for someone with a child(ren) (age 0-5y) and gives the opportunity to learn new skills whilst also enjoying the playgroup with your child(ren).

Our sessions include activities either craft or messy play, large range of toys, a nice comfy area for our smaller tots to enjoy tummy time and bright coloured play gyms and we supply healthy snacks and drinks for the children too. We have regular guests attend our sessions which include a Librarian, Dental nurse, Broadland police officers, Tropic Ambassador, UEA School of Psychology and we have our own Children's book stall selling new books very reasonably priced. During the year we also have special events/parties, and an annual outing as a group to a local attraction. In 2024 we were awarded the Norfolk Parent and Toddler Group Quality Mark and food hygiene 5* rating.  In 2025, we were shortlisted for Broadland District Council's Community Organisation of the Year Award.

There is also the option to get involved with admin/activity planning/other tasks if desired, to attend relevant training courses (outside of the session), to lead structured activities with a specific age group and to

network with guest professionals working in the family and children sector.

We are open Tuesday mornings (school term time), working times are 8.45am to 11.30am approx. We are within easy walking distance of Lingwood Train Station (direct trains from Norwich) and opposite bus stop served by buses from Rail Station/City Centre/Cringleford/Newmarket Road. Free car parking at venue. No experience necessary - full training and supervision will be given. Uniform provided. Please give all your details and background when applying. Minimum age 16 years. Do get in touch if you have any questions.
