Summary

Due to its popularity, we are looking to run additional Boccia for our clients on the 2nd and 4th Friday afternoon of each month.

Detailed description

Our indoor Boccia sessions are focused on improving social interaction and physical activity, by providing opportunities for clients to take part in something that they may have thought was inaccessible with sight loss. Due to popular demand, we are putting on some new sessions for our clients. We are looking for volunteers who can:

  • Help to set up the equipment
  • Provide assistance and support during the games
  • Bring a friendly and encouraging atmosphere to the sessions

Experience of playing boccia would be helpful, but is certainly not essential, so don't let that put you off!

We are looking for caring and supportive volunteers who can help to create a fun and inclusive atmosphere.

Becoming a volunteer is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in your local community and to meet a wide variety of people from different walks of life. We also offer

  • Regular advice, support and training (including visual awareness training)
  • Payment of out of pocket expenses agreed in advance
