As a CYPF volunteer, you will play a valuable role in helping to support our children and young people so that they can enjoy a wide range of activities

As a CYPF volunteer, your role could include trips to the zoo, activity centres, theme parks, crazy golf and much more, plus you get your own special CYPF hoodie and t-shirt too. We pay approved travel expenses, meaning that you will never be out of pocket when volunteering with us. Our activities are often singular events, meaning that you can dip in and out of volunteering with us, rather than having to commit to something on a regular basis. Please note that this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and we politely ask all of our CYPF volunteers to undertake online safeguarding training as part of your induction, all of which is funded by us.

Prior experience of working with children and young people would be advantageous, but not essential. We are looking for volunteers who are empathic, understanding and who can demonstrate effective communication skills whilst at the same time, encouraging clients to maintain their independence.

Becoming a volunteer is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference and support your local community. We offer ongoing advice, support and training and will always happy to provide a volunteering reference should you need it for future job applications or other opportunities that you wish to pursue.

About Vision Norfolk

We are Norfolk’s charity for people living with sight loss and visual impairment. Providing practical and emotional support at our hubs in Norwich, King’s Lynn and Great Yarmouth and in hospitals across Norfolk. Together with social and well-being activities for adults and children, young people and their families, daily living equipment, befriending services and specialist housing, we help those affected by sight loss to live life fully.
