Summary

We are looking for friendly volunteers to help with a Thursday morning crib activity at our hub in Great Yarmouth.

Detailed description

Our Thursday morning crib activity is a weekly session which runs from 10.00am - 12 noon. It is focused on improving social interaction by providing opportunities for clients to take part in something that they may have thought was inaccessible with sight loss. We are looking for volunteers who:

  • Ideally already have some existing knowledge of the card game crib
  • Can provide assistance and support during the games
  • Can keep score of the games if required
  • Can bring a friendly and encouraging atmosphere to the sessions

We are looking for caring and supportive volunteers who can help to create a fun and inclusive atmosphere.

Becoming a volunteer is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in your local community and to meet a wide variety of people from different walks of life. We also offer

  • Regular advice, support and training (including vision impairment awareness training)
  • Payment of out of pocket expenses agreed in advance
