We are looking for friendly volunteers to support our fortnightly drop in mornings by making hot drinks, chatting with clients, and being a welcoming presence.

Vision Norfolk supports local people living with sight loss to live independent and fulfilled lives. We provide practical and emotional support including social and wellbeing activities, community outreach, eye clinic support and advice on daily living equipment and technology.

We are looking for friendly volunteers to help out at some of our social coffee mornings around the county. In this role you will be making hot drinks, chatting to clients, facilitating games/activities, and brightening people's days.

This drop-in session takes place at the Plumstead Road Library on Wednesdays 11am to 12pm fortnightly. We run other sessions around the county on different days, please see our other opportunities to find an alternative time/location if you are interested but unavailable during this time.

You will form part of a friendly team and have the opportunity to make a real difference in improving the day to day lives and social interactions of local people living with sight loss.

This role is suitable for someone looking for a position of some responsibility and independence. As the Lead Volunteer you will set up and run the coffee morning, including taking a record of attendees to be sent to your volunteer supervisor after the session. You will be supported by additional volunteers.

This role is suitable for anyone who is friendly, understanding, and willing to learn. You may already have experience around people with sight loss, or not – we provide full training and support.

A friendly face, a chatty personality, and ability to communicate well with a diverse group of people is all that is required.
