We’re looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support and engage patients on the ward at Kelling Hospital.


What You’ll Do

  • Run or support fun and engaging activities
  • Encourage patients to take part in simple recreational or chair-based exercises
  • Spend time chatting and building connections
  • Help create a positive, enjoyable environment
  • Share your hobbies or interests with patients (if you’d like!)


What We’re Looking For

  • Friendly, patient, and reliable individuals
  • No experience needed – just enthusiasm and compassion
  • Availability to give a few hours each week

About the Role

Activities may take place:

  • In a group setting in the ward day room
  • At the bedside (bay setting)
  • 1:1 with patients


Time commitment:

Weekdays, approximately 10:30am – 12:30pm (ongoing weekly commitment)


Before You Start

To volunteer, you will need to:

  • Complete a DBS check
  • Provide two character references
  • Attend an induction and training session
