We’re looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support and engage patients on the ward at Kelling Hospital.
What You’ll Do
- Run or support fun and engaging activities
- Encourage patients to take part in simple recreational or chair-based exercises
- Spend time chatting and building connections
- Help create a positive, enjoyable environment
- Share your hobbies or interests with patients (if you’d like!)
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, patient, and reliable individuals
- No experience needed – just enthusiasm and compassion
- Availability to give a few hours each week

About the Role
Activities may take place:
- In a group setting in the ward day room
- At the bedside (bay setting)
- 1:1 with patients
Time commitment:
Weekdays, approximately 10:30am – 12:30pm (ongoing weekly commitment)
Before You Start
To volunteer, you will need to:
- Complete a DBS check
- Provide two character references
- Attend an induction and training session
